EXPLORE BRISTOL FIESTA 2026 →Flyability
Category: Aviation
Flyability is the first proper Nexus Aero software product and provides simple long-range flyability planning for balloon pilots and aerial users.
What's new in Flyability 2.0
Flyability was our first product, and we haven't forgotten it. Version 2.0 is a full refresh, shaped by how pilots and crew actually use it at the launch field: the answer comes first, with the detail one tap away.
Next flight slot
Opens straight onto your next sunrise or evening slot, with a clear verdict and the best slot in the forecast.
14-day glance strip
Every morning and evening slot as ✓, ! or ✕. Tap a day to jump straight to it.
Hour by hour
See the hours either side of each slot, so you can judge whether waiting a little helps.
Compare your sites
Ranks your saved launch sites for any slot, best first. Tap one to switch to it.
Drift direction
Shows which way the balloon will drift, not just where the wind is coming from.
Send to crew
Share a short summary of any slot to WhatsApp or text in one tap.
Your units
Choose knots, mph, km/h or m/s. Your limits convert automatically.
Quick setup
The first time you open it, pick your launch site and personal limits and you're ready.
Improvements under the bonnet
- Times are shown in the launch site's local time, so overseas fiestas are correct too.
- Opens your saved site's forecast automatically, with no extra taps.
- Remembers your personal limits between visits.
- Works with no signal: your last forecast is still there at the launch field.
- Slots that have already passed are greyed out and left out of the best window.
- Any number over your limits is highlighted, and verdicts use ✓ ! ✕ as well as colour.
- Much smaller download, so it loads around ten times faster on a weak signal.
- Rain stays strict: any chance of rain marks a slot unlikely.
