📖 New to Nexus Tester App?

Read the 5-minute setup guide before downloading. It explains how to upload the ZIP to Netlify, open hidden Admin Mode with a 4-second logo press, customise one app, and share the finished tester page.

Don't skip the guide. The app is designed to be hosted on Netlify. Reading the guide first will save you time.

Free to use: Nexus Tester App is designed to reduce the manual work of finding and guiding testers. Add your app details once, then share the page or app with potential testers.

What it is for

For app developers

Present your app, testing link, joining instructions and feedback route in one simple branded place.

For testers

Give people a clear journey: read the app details, join the testing group, open the test link and provide feedback.

For closed testing

Useful for Google Play closed testing workflows where testers need the right account, group access and opt-in link.

For the Nexus ecosystem

Every hosted tester page carries Nexus branding while still allowing the developer's app logo and details to be shown.

5-Minute Setup Guide

Important: Nexus Tester App is designed to be uploaded to Netlify as a ZIP file. You do not need to unzip the package or manually edit the files.

One app per Netlify site: each Nexus Tester App page is for one app only. If you want to test multiple apps, create a separate Netlify site for each app.

1. Download the Nexus Tester App ZIP

Download the ZIP file from this page. Keep it as a ZIP file ready for upload.

2. Upload the ZIP to Netlify

Go to Netlify and create a new site. Upload the Nexus Tester App ZIP directly to Netlify. Netlify will create a live website address for your tester page.

3. Open your live tester page

Once Netlify has published the site, open the live website link. This is the public page your testers will eventually use.

4. Open Admin Mode

Press and hold the logo at the top of the page for around 4 seconds. This opens the hidden Admin/Edit Mode.

5. Add your app details

In Admin Mode, add your app name, logo, short description, testing link, joining instructions and feedback details.

6. Add your testing instructions

For Google Play closed testing, explain whether testers need to join a Google Group or email list before the Play Store test link will work.

Tell testers to use the same Google account for the group, the opt-in link and the Play Store.

7. Save your changes

Save your app details from Admin Mode. Then return to the public page and check that everything looks correct.

8. Share the public Netlify link

Share the public tester page link with Facebook tester groups, developer communities or direct contacts. Do not share Admin Mode instructions with testers unless you want them to edit the listing.

9. Testing more than one app?

Create one separate Netlify site for each app you want tested. For example, one site for your weather app, one site for your quote app and one site for your game beta.

Finished the guide?

You're ready to download the ZIP, upload it to Netlify and customise it through hidden Admin Mode.
